Jigme
Rinpoche
Meditation
May,
Thursday 8 to Sunday 11
In Tibetan,
the term meditation can mean "training", "meditative
absorption" or even "the mind stably focused on virtue".
The different methods that constitute the training do eventually
lead to absorption, but why is it necessary to stabilize the mind
and what is meant by virtue? In order for meditation to bear it's
proper fruit, it has to be grounded in a correct understanding of
reality and the way we perceive this reality. In this way our practice
becomes a training in the dissipation of illusion as was taught
by the Buddha, leading us to recognize reality for what it really
is. Jigme Rinpoche will explain the "view" of meditation
so that we may properly discern between what is to be cultivated
and what is to be abandoned within the very heart of practice. During
the course, on the basis of Rinpoche's teaching, instructions on
the 4 pillars of mindfulness will be transmitted and practiced every
day.
- Open to all,

- Courses begin at 11 AM
- Courses end at 12 PM
