From Thursday,
June 2 to Sunday, June 5
Study and Meditation Retreat
Lama Jigmé Rinpoché and Lama Trehor
The aim of these
three-yearly retreats is to allow us to rightly understand ourselves
and the world, as well as to train in an authentic meditation. The
teachings consist in oral instructions and aim at developing the
philosophical aspect of the Dharma, with essential subjects such
as emptiness or the Buddha nature. On this basis, guided meditations
enable us to practice rightly, whatever our personal practice is.
The retreats are placed under the direction of Rinpoché,
with the participation of the lamas and druplas of Dhagpo, and occasionally,
of a khenpo (scholar).
The Amitabha
practice
Lama Jigmé
Rinpoché explained that there are several forms of meditative
practices. The Amitabha practice is one of them. Amitabha, the Buddha
of infinite light, is associated with the land of Dewachen and this
meditation allows to create, for oneself and others, the causes
of rebirth in this pure land. Lama Tréhor began to transmit
this practice last year. Hell come back in June to continue
the transmission of the ritual, at the meaning level as well as
the implementation level. The retreat includes teaching sessions,
guided meditations (practice of calm abiding), and question-and-answer
sessions.
